Elena Bochorishvili, living in Canada, writes in Russian, but the roots of her small leads - in Georgia, in the naive paintings of Niko Pirosmani and wise tragicomes of the Great Georgian cinema. In her texts, we are talking about strange people who quarrel and lay down, fall in love and part, and if they die, then only because they don"t have to live on for some reason. Bochorishvili follows the traditions of magical realism, but deprives his works of invented magic, leaving only the magic of everyday life - everyday life of sad, funny, confused, unfortunate and incredibly happy people who are most of all in the world, no matter how heavy it is.
