Leonid Andreyev (1871-1919) was a popular Russian writer of the early 20th century who raised eternal questions about the meaning of life, the relationship between good and evil, truth and delusion, conscious and unconscious in humans in his works. The book includes the novellas "Judas Iscariot," "The Burden of War," and the stories "Rules of Good," "SOS." It is included in the school literature curriculum.
