In 1795, fate brought Josephine with Napoleon, who immediately lost his head from love for her, despite the fact that she was 6 years older than him. They entered into a marriage union at a time when even close associates of Bonaparte did not foresee his dizzying career. Until his death, the great commander idolized this woman. He carried his love for her through all his victories and defeats. Josephine remained the only one for Napoleon, it was to her in a dying delirium and the lone prisoner of St. Helena"s island turned. No wonder contemporaries recalled: "The emperor did not see any shortcomings in his wife. She was not old for him and did not change, and if Josephine could give the wife of the heir to his glory and power, he could never leave her. In his dreams, he did not part with her.
