Sixteenth Collection of Works I.V. Stalin turned out to be obviously incomplete. Thirteen volumes were released during the lifetime of the author (1946-1951), and they carried to print a thorough and demanding selection of works by themselves. Then the edition struck the Khrushchev "Thaw". Not yet completed (Volume 13 was interrupted in 1934), it was terminated with the death of Joseph Vissarionovich (March 1953), its plan, in general terms, scheduled for the first to be the first (S. VII-VIII), turned out to be unfulfilled, already existing Set scattered. Tom 14-16 appeared four and a half decades later, in a fundamentally different, not predictable in the 50s of the 20th century, epoch. They were timed to the 80th anniversary of October (1997), and the compiler, as "Lone"s waters without a motor", was not located in the mid-1990s, that is, at the time of the bizarre blossom of the Yeltsin"s "Demmonarchy", and the thousandth share of those capabilities that Once he had at his disposal of IMEL.
