These biographical essays were published as a separate book in the series 'Lives of Remarkable People' about a hundred years ago by F. F. Pavlenkov (1839-1900). Written in a new genre for that time, a poetic chronicle and historical-cultural study, these texts still hold informational and psycho-energetic value to this day. Originally written 'for common people', for the Russian provinces, today they can be recommended not only to bibliophiles but to a wider readership: both those unfamiliar with the history and psychology of great people and those for whom these subjects are a profession.
