Prophets - the second section of the Jewish Bible, Tanaha, the next directly behind the second - Pentateuch. This edition presents the first part of the section - the early prophets, including the books of Yehshua, Chofitim, Shmo-El (I and II) and MLAKHEM (I and II) The new translation of the Jewish Bible provides the reader the Russian version of the Masorette text, as close as possible to the original and free from the tendentious readings. The translation is based on the data of modern science and traditional Jewish exegeza and takes into account the experience of previous Bible translations into Russian. In the publication, the translation interpretations, based only on exegetic or on obsolete scientific ideas, were corrected, and the texts of the translation correspond to the modern level of research of the Jewish Bible. The translation accompany the notes of a philological nature and historical and real comments necessary for an adequate understanding of the biblical text
