The younger son of Peter Senior Senior - Yang (1568-1625) - brought up with her grandmother, an artist who wrote entertaining miniatures. Talent for painting in Jana, like the older brother Peter, was obvious. He went to the twentieth young men in Italy, where not only studied the great masters in Naples, Rome and Milan, but also carried out orders of famous persons. At the end of the 1590s, Jan Bruegel returns to his homeland, where he works in Brussels and Antwerp. In 1601, he became a member of the guild of the painters of St. Luke. The outstanding master created multifigure paintings on religious and mythological topics, wrote landscapes, allegories, household compositions, and was also the author of numerous lush still lifes. In this genre, Jan Bruegel had no rivals, his bouquets were unique, and the artist assigned the nickname "floral", or "velvet".
