Casimir Valishevsky (1849 - 1935) - a well-known Polish historian, publicist and writer, who worked in France most of the life, awarded the French Academy of Sciences "for a great contribution to modern historiography". For over 30 years he studied the history of Russia XVI - XIX centuries. Valishevsky worked in the archives of St. Petersburg, Paris, London, Berlin and Vienna.
