The book contains the main works of Tsar Ivan IV the Terrible - a great Russian thinker, creator of the ideology of the Russian monarchy - the Orthodox state. The personality of the formidable Tsar played a prominent role in the history of Russia. With his decisive actions, he managed to suppress a conspiracy by part of the ruling elite, oriented towards subjugating Russia to the Catholic Church and the West. The conspirators were preparing to kill the Tsar, destroy the Orthodox faith, and dismember the country. With relatively little bloodshed (compared to the number of executions carried out in similar circumstances in European countries), Ivan the Terrible quelled the turmoil. The consequences of the Time of Troubles would have been much more serious for Russia if Ivan IV had not weakened the influence of the Westernizers. The top leaders of the most active supporters of submission to the Polish king were destroyed by Ivan the Terrible, and the remaining "Westernizers" did not have enough influence to make Russian society renounce Orthodoxy and the ideals of Russian civilization and accept Catholicism.
