Isaac Babel in the historical and literary context of the XXI century

In the collection, according to the results of the International Scientific Conference, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of I. E. Babel, researchers from Russia and seven foreign countries took part. The special section is dedicated to "Konarmy": texture problems, cycle composition, character characters, controversy around the Karmeysian stories are considered. The book discusses the questions of poetics, interpretation, intertext and the reception of the works of the writer. An articles on the bonds of Babel with literary contemporaries are placed. The works dedicated to the South Russian Literary School and the history of the Odessa Commercial School, which graduated from Babel.
