The monograph presents the regularities defining the basic principles of forensic tactics, analyzes problematic situations that arise when presenting tactical-forensic provisions related to investigative versions, theory of identification, procedural-legal foundations, game theory, reflexive interaction, reflexive management, and the use of a polygraph. The main principles and rules of distinguishing true confession from confession and self-incrimination are considered, as well as the concept and essence of leading and conditionally leading questions. An analysis of the evidence available for the very first murder committed by the serial killer Chikatilo is provided. When presenting and analyzing problematic situations, the main attention is paid to criticizing and overcoming erroneous theoretical constructions and reasoning that are far from genuine scientific knowledge and can only hinder the establishment of truth in the investigation of cases. The second part of the work outlines the features of conducting individual investigative actions. Their consideration is based on the corresponding legal and scientific-technical foundations.
