In modern computing programs, several processes are often combined. The main problem arising when creating such distributed programs is to force all processes to work together on solving a common task, even in case of failures of some of them. Under failures, it is implied: an emergency completion of some processes, loss of communication with them and even a malicious attack on some processes.
