The manual reflects the range of issues related to one of the important forms of collaboration between specialists and agencies of different profiles in providing assistance to children with developmental disabilities. It discusses the psychological content of the multi-professional interaction process, its structure, stages, and conditions for effectiveness. The necessary professional skills and functions of specialists in interprofessional collaboration are identified.
Using examples of organizational forms of collaborative work among specialists of different profiles, the manual illustrates the peculiarities of their step-by-step activities and ways of making collegial decisions in diagnosing and implementing programs to help children.
The Appendix includes Federal documents regulating the activities of organizations providing comprehensive assistance to children, as well as methodological materials for the interaction of specialists in teamwork.
