The aim of the guide is to consolidate clinicians and clinical laboratory diagnosticians in the interpretation and practical use of laboratory tests for diagnosing infections of the male reproductive organs and causes of infertility in married couples. In broad medical practice, when diagnosing the etiological factor of inflammatory pathology of the urogenital tract, the focus is on identifying sexually transmitted infections. In the pathogenesis of this group of inflammatory diseases, especially in chronic bacterial and persistent viral infections, conditionally pathogenic microflora may play a leading role. The guide emphasizes laboratory technologies that can enhance the effectiveness of detecting pathogenic infections, provides a comparison of the diagnostic value of laboratory methods, and pays special attention to the secretions of accessory sex glands.
