On October 1-4, 2006, the International Scientific and Theological Conference Russia - Athos: Millennium of Spiritual Unity took place in Moscow. The conference worked eight sections, at the meetings of which were covered by issues of theology, the history of Athos, relations between Russia and Athos, the history of the mobility, life and activities of St. prep. Maxim Grek, church arts and architecture, liturgics and church singing. The conference sounded more than 200 reports, most of which are included in this collection. Numerous foreign guests from Greece, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Serbia, Cyprus, Romania, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium also took part in the meetings
