The textbook is written by leading specialists of the therapeutic clinics of medical universities in St. Petersburg.
The first volume of the publication is devoted to diseases of cardiovascular and digestive systems, diseases of the kidneys and respiratory organs. The second volume contains chapters in which diseases of the blood system, the glands of the internal secretion, the systemic lesions of the connective tissue and diseases of the joints, immunodeficiency, chronic fatigue syndrome, pharmacotherapy in geriatric practice, as well as allergic diseases. The presentation is constructed by the traditional plan with a description of etiology and pathogenesis, modern classification, clinical manifestations, methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the internal organs. Each section presents examples of the formulation of diagnoses, describes the most common complications of diseases and methods for their prevention.
