Take the hard work - drawing up the most complete description of the temples and other prayer places in the name of the holy prince Alexander Nevsky - I prompted not so much the two most important anniversary in his age: the 750th anniversary of the blessed death and the approaching 800th anniversary of his Birth, how much is that our people elected the Holy Prince name of Russia. It seemed to me extremely important to visually confirm the truth of this choice, since if the people love and honor the saint, he primarily builds temples in his honor. At the beginning of work, I did not assume that it would take so much strength and time to at least get closer to the highest possible meeting of information about the temples in honor of St. Alexander Nevsky. However, despite the fact that not everywhere in the book managed to achieve the encyclopedic completeness of the information, the conclusion made by me is unequivocal: our people really love and honor the Holy Prince. I am sure that this love will find an effective incarnation in the near future, and the celebration of the 800th anniversary of the Holy Prince is crowned with new temples and other prayer places consecrated in his honor.
Now I just have to do on the Testament of the Holy Apostle Paul: Darite everything for everyone: for such a will of God"s will in Christ Jesus (1:18).
I offer sincere thanks to the diocesan reprehension and their assistants who responded to my request for help, numerous people of any title and age, honoring the name and memory of the Holy Prince and manifested their love for domestic history and personalities, who were doing it.
Special thanks to photographers, which often used their free time to get to the long-forgotten ruins and fix everything that was preserved from the temple or chapel in honor of St. Alexander Nevsky. I apologize that for technical reasons and the presence of a large number of objects in the book does not indicate authorship directly under photos. We give the names of photographers at the end of each volume. However, there are no particularly many of them from them not to be called also in this short word, namely: Valery Antipina, Yuri Vereshchagin, Nikolai Korsun, Sergei Nosakova, Vasily Tarazievich, Sergey Tikhomirova, Valery Chepkasova, Mikhail Chuprinin, Elena Yunu.
I can not not express gratitude to the creators of sites dedicated to the Orthodox churches: Temples of Russia (www.temples.ru) and the People"s Catalog of Orthodox Architecture (www.sobory.ru) and ordinary participants of these Internet Projects who are readily responded to my requests.
In conclusion, I would like to express special thanks to the chief editor of the second book Natalia Feofanova, as well as all those who helped me in the process of preparing the publication to print.
In an effort to maximize the completeness of this collection of photos and information, I understand that I could not achieve the fulfillment of this good intention.
