On September 8, 1941, German troops severed the land connection between Leningrad and the country. The Siege began, becoming the greatest tragedy of World War II.

Lomagin, the strategy of the Third Reich during the Siege of Leningrad is detailed, addressing the issues of food supply and the mood of the population in the besieged city from 1941 to 1943.
