This book is the fruit of 14-year-old work of one of the most serious Russian war researchers 1812, the enthusiast and the ascetic Alexander Queen and his numerous friends and assistants. Children"s passion for the uniform, the heroic epoch of 1812 introduced it to a circle of serious historical problems and determined the main theme of his scientific searches. It is based on the latest works of historians, deep archival surveys and the richest archaeological material from museums and private collections provided by Lithuanian specialists, Belarus, Russia. Reacing by their own legs of the former battles, redistribution, bivouaks and scattered on the route the Great Army villages, from which there was no trace, the author managed to answer a number of questions, still unsolved historians, add, and somewhere even to clarify the famous Falu catalog , giving an idea of all the compounds of all in the army of Napoleon, once again confirming that without circulation to the material evidence of the era of our knowledge about this campaign could not be complete.
When in June 1812, Napoleon"s great army moved through Neman, our compatriots perceived this invasion as an event apocalyptic.
