Max Libster was born in 1915 in the German city of Reyhenbach (Earth Hessen) After the arrest of September 11, 1938, followed by four months of a single conclusion in a Nazi prison, Libster rapidly plunged into a nightmare of concentration camps. There, the case collapsed him with a group of prisoners who were carrying purple triangles. These were Bibelforscher (Bible researchers), who were pursued for their religious beliefs and refusal to obey Nazi ideology. The fact that such a powerful organization, like the SS, was unable to break the spirit "of the lilac triangles" by means of torture and even execution, made an indelible impression on Libster.
After the liberation from the concentration camp, Buchenwald Libster emigrated to the United States, where in 1956 he married Simon Arnold. Since 1994, Libisters have traveled a lot in Europe and North America, speaking to the public with stories that they had to go through. In 2002, Liebster created the Arnold Libster Foundation to disseminate knowledge about the Holocaust, human rights and history lessons. Recently, Max and Simon lived in the town of Ex-Le-Ben (France) In May 2006, they first visited Moscow, having arrived at the presentation of the book Simon "in the fight with Lvom"
