A collection of letters from the outstanding Soviet artist Alexander Rodchenko, addressed to his wife Varvara Stepanova, in 1925 during his first and only trip abroad. There he worked on the design of the Soviet section of the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts and Industrial Design and on the construction of a Workers' Club. However, these are not the main topics of the letters; rather, they focus on his impressions of Western consumer culture, the variety and quantity of goods that can be purchased, and the constant comparison between life "in Paris" and "here." 2nd edition.
