In this book, Robert Toronou continues to develop the theory of intersubjective systems (see: Coloroux R. et al. Clinical psychoanalysis. Intersubjective approach. M.: Kogito-Center, 1999) in relation to the problem of mental injury. For the conceptualization of the phenomenon of mental injury, the author resorts to the concepts of continental philosophy, its directions such as phenomenology, hermeneutics and existential analyst Martin Hydegger. Special attention is paid to the author"s appeal to the experience of suffering and cure from its own injury associated with the sudden death of his wife. The concept of emotional injury presented in the book should help analysts better understand the subjective states of injured customers and convince them of the need to provide emotional shelter for traumatic experiences
