The monograph presents the results of research on ways to improve the performance of parts and assemblies of automotive and tractor equipment using tribotechnical methods. The main types of wear of working surfaces of gear engagements, plain bearings, and crankshafts are analyzed. Anti-friction lubricating compositions are used to improve the performance of tribological contacts. Experimental setups have been created, methodologies for conducting comparative tests have been developed. Wear resistance, load-carrying capacity, and anti-friction properties of surfaces treated with a friction geomodifier have been studied. The influence of the friction geomodifier on the performance indicators of gear engagements, bearings with bronze bushings, and crankshafts has been determined. The materials of the monograph are of interest to graduate students, doctoral students, scientific and technical workers of universities and research institutes, as well as engineering services of agricultural enterprises.
