Impressionism is a painting of the impression, moments picked up from the monotony of everyday life. Although this current was born in Paris in the second half of the XIX century, at this time it causes increased interest of the public. A wonderful connoisseur of French culture M.Yu. Herman, a doctor of art history, outlined his own, deeply thought -out and emotional version of the history of impressionism, spoke about the path of great masters (Eduar Mana, Claude Monet, Edgar Deg, Auguste Renoir and many others), as well as how French influence spoke in the art of other countries, including Russia
