The manual provides modern information on the main and additional methods of examining patients before performing dental implant surgery, materials and methods of obtaining impressions for prosthetics supported by implants are considered. The features of connecting superstructures with implants and the influence of the precision of their manufacture on the reliability of the orthopedic structure are determined. An algorithm for choosing a prosthetic method depending on the stability of the implant is presented. The history of implantology development, including domestic, is reflected. Current information on digital dentistry and oral hygiene in patients with dental implants is highlighted. Attention is also paid to issues of post-implantation complications in terms of their prevention. The publication is intended for students of dental faculties of medical universities.
