Georges Maurice Paleologue (1859-1944) was a French politician and diplomat. He advocated for anti-German and pro-Russian positions. He was a writer and a lifelong member of the French Academy. From January 1914 to July 1917, he served as the Ambassador of the Third French Republic to the Russian Empire. He contributed to involving Russia in the First World War, during which he tried to pressure the Russian government to participate more actively in the military actions. He gained wide connections in the aristocratic, governmental, and social circles of Petrograd. The print run of the book is 30 copies and is done using print-on-demand technology.
