Georges Maurice Paleologue (1859-1944) was a French politician and diplomat. He advocated for anti-German and pro-Russian positions. He was a writer and a lifelong member of the French Academy. From January 1914 to July 1917, he served as the Ambassador of the Third French Republic to the Russian Empire. He contributed to involving Russia in the First World War, during which he tried to pressure the Russian government to participate more actively in the military actions of the Russian Empire. He gained wide connections in the aristocratic, governmental, and social circles of Petrograd. The edition of 30 copies was produced using print-on-demand technology.
