OpenCV is the most widespread computer vision library. It includes hundreds of ready-made image processing functions and is used both in academic institutions and in industry.
In this book, the examples demonstrate the main image processing algorithms implemented in OpenCV. First, it is told about the installation of the library, its overall structure is described and simple examples of reading and writing images and video are given. The following is considered to filter images and manipulation with color. You will learn about such processing methods as retouching, cleaning noise and creating HDR images. In the final chapter, it will be about increasing speed through the use of graphics processors. After reading the book, you will be able to create interesting and efficient images for image processing. All topic considered are illustrated by examples.
Brief book content:
- Creating OpenCV applications with user interface,
- Basic concepts and image processing tasks: types of images, access to individual pixels, arithmetic operations over images, histograms,
- Useful image processing techniques: filtering, smoothing, raising sharpness, noise cleaning, morphological operations, geometric transformations,
- Retouching algorithms and LUT filters,
- Using various color spaces to optimize image processing,
- video processing: stabilization, image stitching and even ultrahigh resolution,
- familiarity with the new computing photography module, which includes image processing with a wide dynamic range, seamless lioning, discoloration and non-rendering rendering
