Ilya Repin. Memories and Masterpieces

Ilya Efimovich Repin, perhaps, is one of the most famous Russian artists. The names of many of his paintings - "Burlaki on the Volga", "Cossacks write a letter to the Turkish Sultan", "did not wait", etc. - have long become crowded aphorisms.
However, in our edition, Repin does not appear as a painter, but, first of all, as a talented memoirist, the author of the book "distant close", selected articles from which are offered to the attention of readers.
