The book presents the fictional biography of remarkable Satyrian writers Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov. The authors of the novels about the adventures of the Osta Bender - "12 chairs" and "Golden calf" - Ilf and Petrov became classics of Soviet literature, and their novels are the most published domestic works published in Russia. The life of co-authors is the story of the Great Friendship of two talented people. They were so organically complemented each other that in the consciousness of the reader, their names merge into one. Meanwhile, completely different in character warehouse and temperament, both writers lived to the offensive little. Ilya Ilf died of a disease at the age of 39 years. Evgeny Petrov died at the same age during the war.
