The book is dedicated to the life path of Igumenia Tamara of the Spaso-Eleonsky Monastery, born Princess Tamara of imperial blood, the third cousin of Emperor Nicholas II. Her parents - Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich and Grand Duchess Elizaveta Mavrikiyevna, Uncle - Grand Duke Dmitry Konstantinovich, and Aunt - Queen Olga Konstantinovna of the Hellenes, influenced her personality development. After the death of her husband, Prince K.A. Bagration-Mukhransky, on the battlefield of the First World War, Tatiana Konstantinovna dedicated her life to serving God and people. During the difficult years of exile, the princess consciously renounced material goods and for over twenty years she was the abbess of the Exaltation of the Cross Church in Geneva, helping many people using her extensive connections. After raising her children, she took monastic vows, and Metropolitan Anastasius (Gribanovsky) appointed her to serve in the Holy Land. Igumenia Tamara's activities as the abbess of the Spaso-Voznesensky Monastery contributed to the preservation and development of this largest monastery of the Russian Diaspora.
