The issues of modeling electronic means in the tasks of providing intra-appliance electromagnetic compatibility, basic software and their ability to design printed circuit boards are considered. For the first time in domestic literature, IBIS-models of integrated chips are considered in detail. The keywords and rules for compiling the IBIS specification for integral components are described, recommendations on the practical application of IBIS-models, including the composition of commercial packages. Considerable attention is paid to the theory and practice of experimental characteristics for IBIS models.
