Elsa, a budding writer from Lyon, admires the work of the recently deceased famous novelist Beatrice Blandi. A meeting with Beatrice's widower, film producer Tomá, marks the beginning of their romantic relationship. Elsa, a provincial girl, moves into a luxurious Parisian apartment where the walls are still adorned with photographs of Beatrice, the tables are filled with her trinkets, and access to her office is strictly forbidden.
