The first part of the book was an essay of the so-called. Gugut, dedicated to her ancestor, a scientist entomologist, gardener of the Kiev Botanical Garden - Johann Heinrich Gokhut. In the second part there is a historically valuable essay of I.G. Gokhuta. From it, you can find out how Ukrainian peasants lived in the XIX century, how they worked how much the cereals, bread, meat and vegetables were worth it, which was produced in the Kiev province and even whatever climate in those "distant close" times
