Sergei Yesenin is a great Russian poet, whose stunning and multifaceted talent has gifted the world with poignant lyrics, lively verses of tavern poems, and thoughtful reflections on the Motherland. Singing praises to the native nature, Rus-Russia, love for life and the world, Sergei Yesenin seems to clothe our own feelings and emotions in words, subtly conveying the mood and stirring the soul. In his short life, he released numerous poetic books and collections: his first book was published when Yesenin was barely twenty years old, and the last poem, written with his own blood, was put on paper about ten years later. "May you be forever blessed that you came to bloom and die."
