The first part of the book is a record of conversations about life and uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto in April 1943, which Hanka Grupinska conducted with participants from 1985 to 2000.
This is a unique documentary material containing the oral history of the Holocaust, a testimony of living memory and justice.
Conversations with soldiers of the Jewish Fighting Organization are accompanied by archival and contemporary photographs of the heroes of the book, photographs of the ghetto, many of which are published for the first time.
The second part is a collection of over 300 biographies-epitaphs of soldiers of the Jewish Fighting Organization, based on a list sent to London by the organization's leaders in 1943.
