The book by an Israeli philologist offers a comprehensive description of the poetics of Osip Mandelstam. Within the framework of this task, the theoretical positions formulated by the adepts of the intertextual method in the seventies and eighties of the last century are specified, developed, and repeatedly tested, but have not yet found systematic application. The result of this extensive work is the explication of a series of metanarratives, which, in turn, reveal a common morphological basis that is maintained throughout Mandelstam's mature creative work. An important component of the study is the analysis of Mandelstam's addressing of living and deceased contemporaries - poets and intellectuals, among whom are Vyacheslav Ivanov, Marina Tsvetaeva, Sophia Parnok, Andrei Bely, and Viktor Shklovsky. The book is equipped with detailed indexes.
