The novel "Whirlwind" (1986) concludes Clavell's "Asian Saga." Some criticize the author for the confusion and blending of genres in this book, but it is hard to deny his foresight: describing the turbulent events in Iran at the end of the seventies, he seemed to have seen several decades ahead.
