"Russian medicinal plants" is a fundamental work in the form of a reference book compiled by a famous Russian pharmacist, botanist and mycologist Voldemar Karlovich Varlikh (1859-1923) This work went out of the press in 1912, and the real publication is a reprint of this book without color drawings (those who wish can easily find images of plants on the Internet) The text of the book was transformed according to the rules of modern spelling. The author described in detail 140 medicinal plants that grew in the late XIX - early XX centuries in the territory of the Russian Empire (including the Baltic states, Finland and Poland) It characterizes plants in many parameters, such as the structure, the regions in which they meet, the formulas of the chemicals, in them contained, and medical use. Cases of plant poisoning and measures for the treatment of poisoning are also considered. This publication has not yet lost its value and relevance
