Reprint from the publication. Moscow, 1896. Baron Grigory Dmitrievich Rosen (1846-1897) was a hunter and dog breeder. He did not get out of the psariy yard, it happened, slept in an embrace with dogs in hiking wagons. Leaving a cozy estate in the Arzamas district of the Nizhny Novgorod province, for months he traveled along Russian weights in order to look at some famous Kobel, defeating or Kostroma squeezing a scream. The notes of Baron Grigory Dmitrievich Rosen began to appear first in the journal "Nature and Hunt", and in 1888 a large essay “Dog Hunt” was released there. The provenness to the real publication was the essay of the history of the Dog Borza, which was published in the "Russian hunter". "History of Hound Dogs" is the most capacious and last edition of Rosen. These were the first specialized publications in Russia about greyhounds and hounds. In the book, he analyzes the influence of climate, terrain and food on the formation of hounds. The method that the hunt was conducted was influenced not only by external forms, but also on the character, the moral aspects of dogs. Features of the relief of the area where hunting is conducted, eventually change the ability to see in animals.
