The textbook presents the history of the development of fish farming, gives fisheistic requirements for the quality of the aquatic environment, a general characteristic of fish, biological and fisheries assessment of fish farming objects are given, the basic production processes (breeding work, obtaining high-quality sexual products, methods of insemination and incubation of caviar, and obtaining a vividly vital planting material, methods of sorting, quantitative accounting and control) Much attention is paid to the biological foundations of feeding the cultivated fish, the problems of health and the prevention of diseases. The issues of transportation of sexual products, planting material and commodity fish are considered. The main directions of fish farming (pasture, pond, garden and industrial) are described, their general characteristics and technological features are given. The basic principles of the organization of fish farms (management, economics) are shown.
