About the book
On the night of the annual holiday of the autumn equinox, the inhabitants of a small town are going to let the paper flashlights along the river. The legend says that, hiding from sight, the flashlights soar to the Milky Way and turn into sparkling stars, but is it really true?
This year Ben and classmates plan to find out what is really happening with the flashlights, and in order for the mission to be successful, they conclude an agreement consisting of two simple rules: not to turn home and not look back.
They are going to follow the flashlights along the river bank until they find out the truth, but very little time passes, and the pact violates everything except Ben and (to its disappointment) Nathaniel, a boy with whom no one wants to be friends.
Together Ben and Nathaniel are driving as far as no one has already arrived, along the winding road, full of magic, miracles and unexpected friendship.

About the author
Ryan Andrews is an illustrator and an artist -multiplier who is currently living in the Japanese province. He spends the morning at the desktop: draws comics, illustrates book covers, creates a background for cartoons - and all this to the sounds of wild boars and badgers coming from the surrounding forest, which rushing out of the mushrooms and fallen chestnuts. He released several short comics, including the Sarah and the Seed comic book ("Sarah and Semeychko"), nominated for the iSner award, and the OUR BloodStained Roof ("Our roof in bloody spots")
