The book proposed to the attention of the reader is a revised dissertation of the famous archaeologist Andrei Petrovich Abramov (1959-2012), the main interest of which throughout his life was the study of ancient Greek amphora. The book is dedicated to the most important topics of the study of ceramic containers of the 6-5 centuries. BC: typology of vessels and chronology of complexes containing amphoras in general or in fragments. The periodization developed by the author includes 11 chronological stages based on analysis of 131 of the vessel type. For 36 years of work through the hands of A.P.
