The book presents the basic principles of translating mathematical texts into English. Working with it will allow Russian-speaking mathematicians to use English in their professional activities, in particular, to write the text of a scientific paper for a foreign journal or collection. The reader may not know English, however, the book assumes proficiency in English terminology in their field, as well as experience in analyzing (including with a dictionary) English-language articles in their specialty.
The book is primarily intended for Russian-speaking mathematicians, students, and postgraduates of mathematical faculties, but will also be useful to all specialists working with English mathematical terminology, professional translators, and a wide range of readers interested in mathematics.
