About the book
There are not many years to Russian business, and, according to the author, only two large waves of entrepreneurship took place in Russia. The first happened in the 90s, when yesterday’s workers, doctors of sciences or former military began to open enterprises - who out of the desire to earn money and who is forced to, from the lack of money. The second wave came in the early 2000s, when the Internet had just promised any income-then programmers and students went to the business then. However, despite the fact that the Internet is growing rapidly and playing an increasingly important role in our lives, the face of Russian business still determines the representatives of the first wave that import, produce and sell a significant share of what we eat, wearing and acquire for home.

Thinking of the lion"s share of these people was formed in the 90s and finally entrenched in the 2000s, into the era of consumer boom, unprecedented growth of all markets that happened in our country once and will never happen again. In the 90s, they were dashing adventurers, brave and enterprising young people who were not afraid to invest their money in the trucks of imported goods, in machines, in the purchase of buildings, commercial cars, and construction. By 2015, most of them became conservative, holding on the ideas of a ten-year ago, careful and extremely distrustful people.

Meanwhile, almost any Russian enterprise can be optimized, developed, accelerated. For many years of entrepreneurial and consulting career, the author has observed many times how companies lose money on monstrous inefficiency, at a wretched organization, and incorrect motivation.

This is a book about myths. Myths, excusable in the 90s, but completely impermissible for a developed enterprise in 2015. Myths that prevent you from building effective companies in Russia.

From the author
We have a lot to travel around the country, communicating with the far from the last representatives of the business community in Russia. We meet smart, well -read, greedy before knowledge, extraordinary thinking entrepreneurs, but are forced to admit that they are in the minority. Too often we are surprised at the contrast between the abundance of business books, magazines, business schools and training centers and a level of business thinking, not only in regions, but also in both capitals.

We did not have a chance to see a single Russian enterprise that could not have been significantly in three to four years, that is, by tens of percent, and sometimes at times, improve, optimize, develop, accelerate.

This book is dedicated to myths. We decided that there is already enough books on how to build an effective business. And we decided to write about how not to do it. More precisely, how you do not need to do this in Russia. We drew all the material for this book from our own experience in Russia - both the experience of managing enterprises with a turnover of more than 10 billion rubles a year, and the experience of advising Russian enterprises of various calibers, forms and activities.
