"Hot Snow" is a novel whose plot is based on real events that took place in December 1942, when our soldiers heroically managed to withstand the attack of tank divisions of Field Marshal Manstein. The battle described in the novel determined the outcome of the entire Battle of Stalingrad. In 2013, the novel was included in the list of "100 books" recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for independent reading by students. This illustrated edition by Yuri Vasilyevich Bondarev is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the events of that winter.
