The textbook provides materials that allow students to acquire knowledge of the main issues of hospital epidemiology and the ability to plan prophylactic and anti-epidemic activities aimed at reducing hospital infections, including infections related to the provision of medical care (ISMP) Theoretical issues of hospital epidemiology, organizational and practical aspects of the prevention of these diseases are considered. The principles of work of the hospital epidemiologist, the methodology of active epidemiological observation and microbiological monitoring, investigating outbreaks of the IPSMP are reflected. Management includes information on the prevention of the ISMP in the compartments of various profiles. The material is set out in accordance with the educational program for epidemiology. All chapters are compiled on the basis of modern data of evidence-based medicine, operating regulatory and guidance materials. Training includes solving situational problems developed using real situations from practice. In each chapter, the benefits are presented test tasks.
