Tom Khazard is a seemingly unremarkable man of forty years old. But he has a secret - he was born in 1581. Tom is not immortal, it just gets old about fifteen times slower than other people. Together with other non -unlucking, it consists in a secret society "Albatros". The task of albatrosses is to protect their secrets, since other people are not ready to calmly accept them. They were persecuted at all times - in the Middle Ages they were burned, and in our time they simply locked them in a crazy house. The main rule of albatrosses is to never fall in love. Love makes them unhappy and weak, because they are doomed to see the aging and death of their loved ones and even children.
Every eight years, Tom changes its habitat - and the personality. Every eight years he has been renouncing his past. This time he stopped in London and got a job as a teacher at school. Once he met his only love in this city. And the irony of fate, it seems, will again violate the main rule of albatrosses
