Henry Kattner is known to the domestic reader primarily as a master of an ironic fantastic story. Many loved the inimitable mutants of Hogbena, as ingenious as the inventor Galleger and many other heroes, due to which the golden age of American science fiction, in fact, became the "golden".
But the literary fate of Kattner was not at all linearly, it was published under many pseudonyms in magazines of a very different thematic orientation. This collection includes works in the genres of mysticism and horror, which constitute a significant part of his heritage. Even the very first story of Kattner, who saw the light - "cemetery rats" - is written in the Gothic style. The author was familiar with Hovard, famous by Phillips Lovecraft, together with his wife, writer Katherine Moore, was in the Lovecraft Circle, and the novels belonging to the Kthulhu myth universe are also included in this book.
