Designed based on the materials of the Department of Spatial Environment Design of SPbGUPTD. Various design definitions, the main methods of design work are considered, including on the basis of the works of outstanding architects and designers of the twentieth century. The relationship of planning solutions with the objective filling of space, with structures and utilities, has been considered. The value of light and color in the design of the environment is shown. Particular attention is paid to the development of projects for redevelopment of apartments and design of exhibition structures using modern CAD (Archicad and Lumion)
